Storm damage & insurance
Hail or wind damage? We'll guide you through the claim
Storms hit Ellisville, St. Charles, and Greater St. Louis County hard. We inspect for free, document everything, and work alongside your insurance adjuster so you can get your home restored without the headache.
Our process, step by step
- 1
Stay safe & prevent more damage
If water is coming in, move valuables, catch drips, and call us. We can tarp or temporarily patch the roof to stop further damage — your policy expects you to protect the home.
- 2
Free storm damage inspection
We inspect your roof, gutters, siding, and windows — using drone imaging where helpful — and look for hail bruising, missing or creased shingles, and dented metal.
- 3
Photo documentation & report
You get clear photos and a written summary of what we found. If there's no real damage, we'll tell you honestly so you don't file a claim you don't need.
- 4
You file the claim
If damage is confirmed, you contact your insurance company to open a claim. We'll explain what to say and share our documentation to support it.
- 5
We meet the adjuster
When the insurance adjuster comes out, we can be there to walk the roof together and point out every damaged area, so nothing gets missed.
- 6
Review the approved scope
Once your insurer sends the estimate, we go over it with you line by line and help request a supplement if items were left out.
- 7
Restoration with premium materials
We schedule your project and install with certified materials like GAF and TAMKO roofing or James Hardie siding — built for Missouri weather.
- 8
Final walkthrough & paperwork
We clean up, walk the finished job with you, and provide the invoices and photos your insurer needs to close the claim and release any remaining funds.
Signs of storm damage
Hail damage isn't always visible from the ground. If you notice any of these, schedule an inspection — and please don't climb on the roof yourself.
- Missing, cracked, or creased shingles
- Dents on gutters, downspouts, vents, or metal flashing
- Granules collecting in gutters or at downspouts
- Cracked or dented siding and window trim
- Water stains on ceilings or in the attic
- Neighbors getting new roofs after the same storm
Common questions
How much does a storm inspection cost?
It's free. We'll inspect your home and tell you honestly whether there's damage worth claiming.
What do I pay if my claim is approved?
Typically just your insurance deductible. Upgrades you choose beyond what insurance covers are discussed up front.
How long do I have to file a claim?
Deadlines vary by policy, often one to two years after the storm. Check your policy and don't wait — damage can get worse over time.
Will filing a claim raise my rates?
Storm claims are usually treated as acts of nature, but every insurer is different. Ask your agent about your specific policy.
Coverage depends on your policy and insurer. We are a roofing contractor, not a public adjuster or attorney, and we don't negotiate claims on your behalf.
